Glasgow Business Park Continues to Shine

July 2011

Ryden has successfully concluded three further transactions at Silverbank’s Parkway Point industrial development at Glasgow Business Park, taking occupancy levels to over 40%.

Gas and fire detection company, Frontline Safety UK Ltd, agreed a five-year lease on a 2,085 sq ft unit. This is firm’s second facility in Scotland and it will be used as the sales and technical team’s headquarters.

Following a 10-year lease in September last year, National Windscreens signed up to take a further 2,500 sq ft; doubling its occupancy levels at the park. The mobile windscreen / glass repair company has taken the space on a new 10-year lease.

Solar Electricity Systems, which carries out installation of solar thermal and solar electric systems for domestic households, signed a five-year lease on a 2,104 sq ft unit.

Gregor Harvie, senior surveyor at Ryden said: Parkway Point is an exceptional development of business units of the highest standard and continues to attract new occupiers. We’re pleased that National Windscreens has expanded at the park and to have signed up Frontline Safety UK Ltd, as the company had been looking at numerous options but decided to locate at Parkway Point as a direct result of Silverbank’s flexibility and willingness to assist with the fit-out of the unit. We are also delighted to secure Solar Electricity Systems as a tenant as they are the first of a number of renewable energy businesses that we are looking to attract to the park”.

Parkway Point provides 39,288 sq ft of flexible industrial / warehouse space across 18 units. The accommodation is finished to a high standard with shared car parking and yardage space and is available in sizes from 2,000 to 12,500 sq ft. with a quoting rent of £7/sqft .The development is ideally located with easy access to the M8 motorway at Junction 9 and a main line Railway Station is immediately adjacent to the park.
